DOAM Foundation sensitizes Junior Secondary School students of Education District IV on Child Right Protection.

On June 23, 2016, DOAM Foundation held the maiden edition of its inter-school debate program for junior secondary school students at Lagos State Education District VI. This inter-school debate program titled “Child Right Protection” held at Eletu-Odibo Junior Secondary School, Ameen Street, Abule Oja, Yaba, Lagos. Other Lagos state junior secondary schools in Education District IV converged to the venue for their participation in the program.

The aim of this inter-school debate is to educate the students on Child Right Protection while consciously improving communication and literacy skills amongst same students through a competitive deliberation.

The students representing each school came prepared for the program as they displayed their understanding of the title of the debate through their debating skills.

Also present at the program was a Child Right Specialist who shed more light on Child Right Protection for all to learn from.

The Schools which took part in the inter-school debate program alongside their competition ranking are:

Mobolaji Bank Anthony Junior High School (1st Position), Aje Comprehensive Junior High School (2nd Position), Eletu Odibo Junior School (3rd Position), Wesley Girls Junior Secondary School (4th Position), Jibowu Junior High School (5th Position) and Onike Girls Junior School (6th Position)

Teachers were not left out of the fun

The program was supported by Child Friendly organizations such as Honeywell Flour Ltd, Vicbol Nigeria Ltd and Kind Hearted Individual Donors whom we sincerely appreciate.
